Yesterday we went to see our 3-year-old grandson, whom we haven't seen in a few weeks. What a joy! It may get more difficult to keep up with him, but the smile on his face makes it worth the struggle. He has brought such joy in my heart.

Watching how the simple things are so exciting to him. Oh to have life simple again. He is just so precious, especially when he gives you a big hug and kiss.

Don't get me wrong, he does have an onery and stubborn streak in him....for sure!

How bittersweet it is knowing you have to leave again. You try to think more of the good time you had than the fact that you are separated again.

It is said, "sometimes life just isn't fair"!

Oops...meant to also add my stepson is 20 and goes to college. He and my high school graduate live with my 2nd hubby and I.

I just read your page and just wanted to say hello! I am the same age as you and have one grandchild who lives in NH (I live in AZ), so I don't see him nearly enough! I am leaving next week to visit family in NH for a couple of weeks and will be seeing him, as well.Take a look at my space, if you like. My youngest son just graduated high school!
